Mangaldas Brothers

Mangaldas Brothers has been sitting on Prithviraj Marg for a long time. It is a family thing, just a few of us working here every day. People stop by when they are passing through this part of town because it’s a convenient location. We handle a bit of everything depending on what the day brings. It’s not one of those big modern stores with bright lights and uniform shirts. It’s more of a place where you can just talk to us across the counter. We spend a lot of our time sorting out inventory or talking to the delivery guys who bring our stock. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character I guess. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on the Marg, and other days it’s so busy we barely have time for tea. We try to keep the shelves stocked with the stuff people actually use. Nothing too fancy or overpriced. If we don’t have something, we usually tell you where else to look. It’s a simple way of doing business but it works for us and the people who come in. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. It is just a regular local business trying to stay helpful to the folks around here.
