Gayatri Gifts

Gayatri Gifts is a small shop located in the Mahaveer Market area of Vijay Nagar. It is usually quite a colorful place because we have a lot of wrapping paper, toys, and plastic flowers stuffed into every available corner. Mahaveer Market is a busy place to be, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is looking for something to give to their relatives. We spend a lot of time dusting off the shelves because the gift items look bad if they get too much grit on them. We have got rows of birthday cards and small trinkets that kids like to buy with their pocket money. Sometimes it is hard to move around in here because we try to fit so many things on the display racks. We don't have any fancy computerized systems; we just know where everything is by memory. Vijay Nagar is a lively neighborhood, and we see a lot of people out shopping for celebrations. It is a bit of a squeeze when the shop gets full of people all looking for different things at the same time. We usually have some tape and scissors handy because we end up helping people wrap things up quite often. It is not a big corporate store, just a local spot where you can find a card or a small toy without having to go all the way into the city center.
