Bombay Watch & Mobile

Station Road is always loud. You hear the trains and the people rushing by all day long. We open up the shop around ten, sometimes a bit later if the traffic in the morning is bad. There are watches all over the shelves, some old ones that people forgot to pick up months ago. We spend a lot of time looking through small lenses at tiny gears. It’s quiet work even with the noise outside. People come in mostly for mobile recharges or when their screen cracks after dropping it on the pavement. We don't have a big fancy display, just the glass counters and a couple of chairs that have seen better days. It gets dusty because of the road, so there is a lot of cleaning to do every morning before anyone shows up. Some days it is just a lot of sitting and waiting for the afternoon rush. We have been here on Station Road for a while now, so most of the regulars know our names and stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything fixed. It's a simple life, really. We handle the phones, fix the watch straps, and watch the world go by through the front door. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. That’s how the day goes for us. It is not a very exciting place, but we keep busy enough with the repairs and the people.
