You can find Bala JI Mobile over in Nala Bazar, specifically on the Ram Nagar side of the street. It is a very busy part of town, especially once the afternoon hits and everyone is out shopping. The shop has been around for a while, and we have seen the mobile market change a whole lot. Back when we first started, phones were tiny with buttons, but now everything is just big touch screens and apps. We spend most of our time at the back desk looking through magnifying glasses at tiny parts. It can be hard on the eyes, but it is just part of the work. The street outside is always full of bikes and people walking past. Sometimes it is hard to hear what customers are saying over the noise of the bazar, but we manage to understand. We keep a decent stock of basic things like earphones and those colorful back covers that people like to buy. If someone needs a repair, they often leave the phone with us and go do their grocery shopping in the bazar, then come back later to pick it up. We try to be honest about how long a job will take. If a part is not available today, we say it clearly. The shop is a local place and we like the people who stop by for a chat about the weather or the news.
