Baba Engineering Works

We are located right behind the New Riico Industrial Area in Makhupura. It’s a dusty part of the world, and our workshop definitely shows it. We do a lot of heavy work here, so there is always the sound of grinding metal or the bright flash of a welding torch. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings or scraps scattered about. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets incredibly hot during the summer months in this part of Rajasthan. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just some large industrial fans that move the hot air around. Most of the guys here have been working with metal for a long time, so they know the machines by heart. We have piles of raw materials stacked near the entrance and finished parts waiting near the back. The trucks come in and out of the industrial area all day, so there’s always a layer of grit on the windows. We eat our lunch together under the shade of the tin roof. It’s noisy and dirty, but it’s what we do. We don't spend much time on paperwork unless we have to; we'd rather be out on the floor actually making something. The work is hard on the hands, but it’s honest. We’ve been in this same spot for quite a few years now, and the neighbors are all doing similar types of work. It’s just how things are in Makhupura.
