Agrawal Iron & Steel Industries

Working with iron and steel at SP-4 Paryavaran Marg is a pretty straightforward life. We have been at Agrawal Iron & Steel Industries for a long time. The industrial area is usually noisy and full of trucks coming in and out. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a functional space where we handle the metal. It gets really hot during the middle of the day, especially with all the machinery running. We mostly just focus on getting the orders processed and loaded onto the trailers. Sometimes we have issues with the power cutting out, which is common around here, so we just wait it out or find something else to do. My father used to say that working with steel makes you tough, and I guess he was right. We don't spend money on fancy signs or shiny office furniture. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings and dust. We know the neighbors at the other units, and we occasionally borrow tools from each other. It’s a simple routine of showing up, checking the stock, and making sure the cutters are working right. We don't really bother with big meetings or corporate talk. We just talk about what needs to be done over a cup of tea in the morning and then we get to it. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Most of us have been here for years and we just keep the business going.
