Our office is located at Deep Niwas in Carterpuri, Gurgaon. If you're looking for us, most folks around here just ask for Dr. Manohar Lal’s place since that's what everybody calls it in the neighborhood. Manoj Rao is usually around to handle the orders and talk to whoever stops by. We deal in cement, which is a pretty basic business but a necessary one with all the building going on in Haryana. It is not a very clean job because of all the dust, but we don't mind it much. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks and chairs where we keep our books. We have been here for a good while now and have seen Gurgaon turn from a quiet spot into a huge city. Despite all the changes, Carterpuri still feels like a little village to us. We don't have any big marketing plans or fancy salesmen. Most of our customers are just local builders or people fixing up their own houses. Sometimes the trucks can't get through the narrow lanes easily, so we have to do a lot of coordinating to make it work. We just provide the cement and try to stay out of trouble. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don't try to be something we are not. It’s just cement and hard work at the end of the day.
