Ultratech Cement, Kovaya

Our location is a bit specific, being at 24 E/D in the Chanchelav Railway Colony in Godhra. Even though the name says Kovaya, this address is where we are actually based out of. Being in a railway colony is a bit different than being in a regular business park. You hear the trains coming through at all hours of the day. It’s a very grounded kind of place. Ultratech Cement has a presence here, but it’s not some big glass tower. It’s a practical office in a residential railway area. The houses around here are all similar and it feels like a close-knit community. We have our files and our desks set up in a way that works for us. Godhra can be quite busy, but the colony is usually a little more sheltered from the main city rush. We go to work, drink our chai, and handle the logistics of the cement business. It is a simple life. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or find something else to do. We don't put on any airs about who we are. We are just staff members trying to keep things running smoothly from our little corner of the railway colony. It’s an interesting place to be because you see the trains and the people moving through Gujarat every single day. The pin code is for Godhra, and that's where the heart of our work is right now.
