If you look for us near the old Calico Mill, you’ll find us in the Khakhi Dyeing Compound. It’s an old industrial spot in Ahmedabad, and you can tell by the way the buildings look. Tahir Textiles LLP is right in the middle of it all, specifically at 85/1/A/12. The area has a very specific smell of dye and chemicals that you stop noticing after the first ten minutes. It’s an honest place where people work hard and get their hands dirty. Our building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s where everything happens for us. We have rolls of gray fabric coming in and finished goods going out constantly. The floors are a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the textile side of things. It’s a family-run kind of feeling here, even if it’s an LLP on paper. We know the neighbors and the guys who drive the delivery trucks by their first names. Lunch is usually something brought from home, eaten quickly between checking the color of a new batch. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or websites because everyone we work with knows where we are and what we do. It’s a bit noisy with all the industrial activity around us, but that’s just how this part of Ahmedabad is. We just keep our heads down and try to keep the quality consistent.
