Shreeji Krupa Marble Mandir

If you go to Gota Gam, you’ll find us in the Shajanand Complex at shop number 5. We are right opposite Parmeshwar Granite on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway. At Shreeji Krupa Marble Mandir, we work mostly with marble, specifically making small temples for homes. There is always a fine white powder on everything because of the cutting and polishing. It gets in your hair and on your clothes. The complex is usually busy with other stone shops nearby. We spend hours working on the details of the marble. It’s not fast work. Sometimes a piece of marble has a crack we didn't see and we have to start all over again. That can be frustrating. We don't have a big fancy storefront, just the workshop and a few finished pieces to show. The highway is close by so we hear the cars all day long. Gota Gam has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings going up around us. We just stay in our little corner of the Shajanand Complex and keep carving. It’s a specific kind of work and not everyone has the patience for it. My hands are always a bit rough from the stone. We just do what we do and hope the customers like the finished temples we make for them. It is just simple work with our hands and some heavy stones.
