Galeecha Carpets

If you are looking for Galeecha Carpets, we are right in the Blue Star Complex. It’s unit 1 and 2, so we have a bit of space near the Old High Court railway crossing in Navrangpura. The trains go by pretty often and you can hear the whistle throughout the day. We have stacks of carpets all over the place here. Some are rolled up in the corners and others are piled high in the middle of the floor. It smells like wool and dust in here most of the time. My father started this and now I spend most of my days showing people different patterns. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. Usually, it's just me or one of the boys helping customers move the heavy stuff so they can see what’s at the bottom of the stack. The lighting in the complex isn't the best, so we sometimes have to take pieces outside to show the real colors in the sun. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and rolling these things all day. Navrangpura is a busy area, so parking can be a bit of a headache for folks visiting us. We just try to keep the shop organized, though it gets messy again as soon as we start opening up new stock. It is a simple life running a carpet shop. We don’t mind the hard work though. Sometimes we stay and drink tea after closing up. It keeps us going daily. We like it.
