Handika

You can find us at Shilalekh, near Nehru Park in the Vastrapur area. Handika is a small operation, and we like it that way. The park is close by, so it’s actually quite a nice spot to be during the day. We spend most of our time working with various items that come through our doors. Our space is usually filled with the sound of people talking and the occasional tea cup clinking. We don't have a lot of rules about how things are done as long as the work gets finished. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere compared to some of the bigger offices in the city. We often have the windows open to let in the breeze. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we all know the local gossip and what’s happening in the neighborhood. We aren't trying to change the world; we're just making sure our little business stays steady. Sometimes we have busy weeks where everyone is running around, and other times it’s quiet enough to actually read the newspaper. We value that balance. Visitors often comment on how tucked away we feel even though we are in a busy part of Vastrapur. It’s just a simple place where we come to do our jobs and then head home to our families. It’s a good way to live and we are happy here every day.
