Shree Gurudev Marble Articles

Our place is at Jaldhara Corner, right near the Jethabhai Vav. If you know the Isanpur Vatva Road, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. We work with marble here, making various articles. It’s a lot of fine work, but it’s also very messy. Marble dust is white and fine, and it gets into every corner of the shop. We spend our days cutting, polishing, and checking the stone for cracks. Every piece of marble is a bit different, which keeps the work interesting. Sometimes we’re making small items, and other times it’s something much larger. Being near the Vav means we get some visitors who are just looking around the area. We have a small display area, but it’s mostly a working shop. You can hear the sound of the grinders from the street. It’s not a quiet job by any means. We don't use any fancy sales pitches. If someone likes a piece of marble work, they buy it. We’ve been in Isanpur for a while now and we like the community here. The tea from the stall across the road is pretty good, and we usually have a cup while we wait for the dust to settle. It’s just a small business making things out of stone, one day at a time.
