Vicha Machinery (India) is located at Plot No. 20/B in Uday Estate. We are right behind the GIDC school. It’s a decent little spot for a business like ours. We work on various types of machinery here in the workshop. The floor is usually a bit cluttered with parts, but that's how we like to work. There’s always some kind of project sitting in the middle of the floor. We’ve been part of this estate for many years now. The sound of the school bell next door is something we hear every single day. It’s become a bit of a landmark for us when giving directions. We don't have any big corporate goals or things like that. We just want to get the machines built properly and out the door. The guys working here are all locals who know their trade well. We spend a lot of our time on the shop floor getting our hands dirty. The office is just a small room where we keep the invoices and the computer. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves or our work. We’re just a regular machinery shop. Sometimes the supply of parts is a bit slow, but we always make do with what we have. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We know most of the other business owners around Uday Estate. It’s a good community of makers and fixers who just get on with it.
