Bhagwan Masala

If you look for us in the GIDC area, you’ll find Bhagwan Masala at Plot No. D/71 in Diamond Park. You can usually tell you’re close before you even see the sign because of the smell of the spices. We grind and pack different types of masala right here in the shop. It’s a dusty business, with fine powder from chilies and turmeric sometimes hanging in the air. We have several grinding machines that make a lot of noise, so it’s hard to hear the phone when they are running. The space is filled with big sacks of raw spices waiting to be processed. We try to keep everything as clean as we can, but it’s a constant battle with the dust. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the machines by heart. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people in the area know us because they use our spices in their kitchens. It’s a local business through and through. We spend our days hauling bags, monitoring the grinders, and sealing up the packets for delivery. Diamond Park is a good location for us, and we have plenty of room to store our supplies. It’s hard work, and the spices can make you sneeze, but it’s what we do and we have been doing it for years.
