Laxmi Textile Stores

Laxmi Textile Stores has been located in the Punmaji Industrial Estate for a good while. You can find us over at Dhobighat in the Shahpur area. It’s an industrial spot, so there are always sounds of machinery and vehicles coming in and out of the estate gates. Our space is at units 22 and 23. It isn't a showroom or anything polished like that, just a functional store where we keep our materials and handle the daily routine. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the actual work to worry about the decor. Most of our neighbors are also in the textile trade, so there is a lot of talk about current market rates and who is buying what this week. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad for everyone. Shahpur is a busy part of town, and getting through the traffic to reach the estate can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We have some heavy metal shelves packed with goods, and there is always a bit of dust because of the industrial setting we are in. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a simple setup with a couple of old desks and a lot of storage space. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept in the back. If someone calls the store, they usually speak to one of the guys who has been working here.
