Khodiyar Handikraft

I’ve been running Khodiyar Handikraft from Madhav Baugh Soc for a while now. Most days you’ll find us busy with the small details of making things. Hirawadi Road is where we stay, and we like being part of this saijPur Bogha neighborhood. It’s a messy process sometimes because handmade stuff takes time and effort. We don’t have a big fancy office, just our workspace here at B-7. We handle everything from the start to the finish ourselves. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with materials but that is just how it goes when you’re working on crafts. People around here know us for the practical things we make. It isn’t always easy keeping up with everything but we show up every day. We just try to get the orders right and make sure things look decent before they go out. It’s hard work, definitely. My hands are usually covered in something by noon. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years and the neighbors are used to us being here. There is no big secret to what we do, it is just about putting in the hours. We don't use big machines for everything, so you can tell a person actually touched it. If you walk down Hirawadi Road, you’ll see our small sign. It’s quiet mostly, except for the sounds of us working. We just want to keep making our crafts and staying busy. It is nothing special, but it is ours and we like it.
