The shop is located at 468/3 in Sakar Bazar. It’s right opposite Gate Number 3 of the Maskati Market in the Kalupur area. If you’ve ever been to Kalupur, you know how busy it is. There are carts, trucks, and people everywhere you look. It’s the heart of the trading district. Our little spot is right in the middle of all that chaos. We keep our doors open most of the time to let a little air in, though it mostly just lets in the sound of the market. Inside, the shelves are packed from floor to ceiling. We have been here for years, and the walls show it. There are marks where we’ve leaned ladders and stacks of boxes that have been there for months. We deal with a lot of wholesale stuff, so there’s always someone coming in to check prices or pick up a bundle. We don’t have much time for small talk, but we always have time for a quick glass of water with anyone who stops by. The light in the bazar is a bit dim because the buildings are so close together, so we rely on those old fluorescent tubes. It’s not a glamorous place, but it’s where all the real trade happens. When the market shuts down for the night, it finally gets quiet, and we head home through the empty lanes of Kalupur. It is a long walk to the main road, but it gives us time to think about the next day's orders and how to fit everything into the small storage space we have.
