Innoweave Biotech LLP is based in the Sumel 11 Indian Textile Plaza. We are in Block A 414, near Namaste Circle in the Shahibaug area of Ahmedabad. It’s a massive complex, so it took us a while to get settled in. The name sounds a bit technical, but we are essentially working at the intersection of textiles and some newer biotech processes. Being in the Indian Textile Plaza makes sense because everything we need is right here. The Shahibaug area is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so there is never a dull moment. Our unit is a mix of an office and a small lab-like space where we look at different materials. It isn't as clean or organized as you might think; there are always boxes of samples and paperwork everywhere. We spend our days testing things and trying to see what works best for the cloth we are developing. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. We don’t have a massive staff, just a few people who know their way around a loom and a test tube. Sometimes the heat in the plaza gets a bit much in May, but we just keep the water bottles full and carry on. We aren't trying to change the whole world; we just want to make some better fabric options for the local market.
