Cottmax Textiles is based in Office 929 at Gala Empire. We’re situated right opposite the T.V. Tower on Drive In Road in the Thaltej part of Ahmedabad. It’s a fairly modern building compared to some of the others in the city. Being up on the ninth floor gives us a decent perspective of the city sprawl. The Drive In Road area is always humming with energy, and you can see the cars crawling along during rush hour. Our office is a busy hub of textile activity. We have rolls of cloth leaned up against the walls and stacks of folders on every available surface. It’s a productive kind of clutter. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders; we care more about getting the orders processed correctly. The staff here is used to the fast pace of the Thaltej neighborhood. We usually grab lunch from one of the stalls nearby or bring something from home to eat at our desks. There’s a lot of back-and-forth communication with factories and clients throughout the day. The building has a lot of other businesses too, so there’s always people coming and going in the hallways. We’ve settled into this space quite well over the years. It feels like the right place for us to be, right in the thick of things in Ahmedabad. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily grind of the textile trade as it comes to us.
