Cottage Craft Industries

We are located inside the Ankur Complex in Naranpura, sharing space or working with Shree Ramnath Handicraft. Our units are 35 and 36. Being right opposite the Ankur bus stop means there are always people waiting around outside and plenty of noise from the buses pulling in and out. The complex is a busy place with all sorts of different shops and offices. We have our handicraft items spread out on tables and some stored in boxes under the counters. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a new shipment in. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and a few workers who know how to handle the crafts. The floor is usually covered in some bit of thread or paper by the end of the day. We get a lot of walk-ins because of the location, people just passing by while waiting for their bus. It is a friendly place though. We know the guy who runs the stationery shop next door and the one who sells snacks near the entrance. Most of the day is spent checking the items and packing them up for people. It is a simple business, and we like being in such a lively part of Ahmedabad. It keeps things interesting and the day goes by faster when there is so much happening right outside the door.
