Calico Craft Center

We have been here at Calico Craft Center for quite a while now. Our place is tucked away in the Dr. Kastrubhai Chamber, right at L4. If you know the area near Subhash Bridge, we are pretty close to Batarishi Bhawan. It's a busy spot but we like it. Most days it’s just us surrounded by different craft supplies and items we’ve been working on. People often walk in looking for something specific for their projects, and we usually have stacks of things piled up on the counters. It’s not the biggest shop, but we make the space work. The building itself is an older one, so you have to look for the sign when you arrive at the chamber. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially during the peak hours near the bridge, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of work. We spend a lot of time sorting through materials and making sure everything is where it should be, though things tend to get messy when we are busy. It’s a local kind of place where you can just stop by and see what we are doing. There is no big corporate office here, just a few of us handling the daily tasks. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we stay right here in our corner of the building. We just keep our heads down and focus on the crafts.
