Tirupati Marble Industries

Tirupati Marble Industries sits right at Plot No.28/22 in Gokul Pura. We are directly across from Agra College, so there are always students and people walking around. The Gokul Pura Handicraft Bazaar is right here too, which means it gets pretty crowded during the day. Working with marble is heavy work and there is usually a lot of dust in the air. We spend most of our time moving slabs around the yard. It is a noisy place with the traffic from the main road and the sounds of the bazaar. Our spot is not very fancy. It is mostly just a big open space where we keep the stone. Sometimes the college kids come over just to look at the patterns in the marble while they wait for their classes. We have been in this part of Gokul Pura for a while now. The layout of the street can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here, so we always tell them to look for the college gates. It helps them find us. Managing the inventory takes up a lot of the day. We have to be careful with the pieces because they can crack if you aren't paying attention. It is a lot of physical labor, but that is the business. We don't have many desks, just a small area for paperwork. Most of the time we are outside in the heat.
