G.R Wires & Tiles

We are located in the Awadh Puri Mohalla, over in the Shah Ganj area. It is a good spot because we are quite close to Bodla Churaha, which most people use as a landmark. We keep a mix of stuff here, mostly electrical wires and different kinds of ceramic tiles. It is a bit of a strange combination of items, but it is what we have always done. The shop is usually crowded with big rolls of wire and stacks of tiles on the floor. You really have to watch where you are walking when you come inside. Shah Ganj is a very lively part of the city. There is always someone walking past or a bike pulling up to the door. We spend most of our time cutting wires to specific lengths or helping a neighbor pick out tiles for a bathroom. The tiles are heavy, so there is a whole lot of carrying involved every day. We are not fancy people and we do not have a big corporate team. It is just a few of us making sure things get done for the people who come in. Some days are slow, especially when it rains and the streets get a bit muddy. Other days, we can barely keep up with the people coming from the crossroads. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a basic business for the neighborhood.
