S. S. Travels

My name is on the registration for S. S. Travels, and we operate from H. No. 1-84 in Harijanwada. This is in Kubeer. It’s a modest setup, just a house with some space for the cars. I’ve lived in Kubeer my whole life, so starting a travel business here felt like the right thing to do. There aren't always enough buses, so people rely on us to get where they need to go. We do a lot of local trips, mostly within the mandal. The house is easy to find if you’re walking through Harijanwada. I’m usually around the porch area, either cleaning the windshields or talking to customers. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. I don't use any software to track things, just a notebook where I write down the dates and the names. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people want the same car on a Sunday morning. We do what we can to fix the schedule. It is a lot of driving on dusty roads, so the cars need constant maintenance. We do some of the repairs ourselves right here in the yard. It keeps the costs down. It’s a small, local operation, and we just keep it going one day at a time. Nothing very special about it, just hard work and a lot of driving.
