Varun Travels

You can find us in Seethagondi village, specifically at house number 1-136/2. We are part of the Gudihathnoor mandal area. Varun Travels is basically run out of our home. We have a few vehicles that we use for taking people around when they need to go into the city or to a family function. It is a small place and everyone around here knows us. We don't have a big waiting room or fancy uniforms for the drivers. Usually, if someone needs a ride, they just walk up to the gate or give us a call on the mobile phone. The cars stay parked in the shade when they aren't out on a trip. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the footwells and checking the oil because the roads out here can be a bit rough on the tires. It’s a lot of driving back and forth, sometimes very early in the morning before the sun is even up. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It feels more like helping out the community than running some big business. Sometimes we have to deal with flat tires or engine trouble, which is a real headache, but we get it fixed and get back on the road. Keeping the cars running and staying on schedule as best as we can is what the job is all about. That is pretty much our daily life here in the village. It is what we do.
