Raja Rajeshwara Travels

Living in Manjulapur village means you get to know the roads pretty well. Raja Rajeshwara Travels is run from H. No. 5-44, which is where I grew up. It started with just one car, and over time we added another because more people needed rides to the station or for family functions. I spend a lot of time cleaning out the back seats. People leave all sorts of things behind, like water bottles or sometimes a single sandal. It’s funny what you find. The house is always busy with drivers coming in to drop off keys or pick up their next assignment. My family helps out with the phone when I’m out driving myself. We don’t use any fancy apps to track anything. It’s all written down in a big blue notebook on the desk. Sometimes the phone rings in the middle of the night for an emergency trip to the hospital, and we just get up and go. That’s part of living in a small place like this. You help out when you can. The vehicles aren't brand new, but we keep them running as well as we can. We worry about the petrol prices going up every other week, but we keep moving regardless. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and it keeps us connected to everyone in the village. We’ve seen kids grow up and start needing rides of their own now.
