Mrithil Bharat Agro (Opc) Private Limited is run by Lakshmi Chakraborty. The office is located right in her home in the village of Baikola. This is in the Baneswarpur area, under the Bagdah police station in North 24 Parganas. It is a one-person company, so it is a very small operation. Lakshmi handles almost everything herself. The village is quite far from the main city, so it’s peaceful here. Most of the work is done right from the house or by walking around the local fields. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It is just a regular house where the business happens. Managing an agro business alone can be quite a lot of work. There are always forms to fill out and people to call. The roads in Bagdah can be a bit rough during the monsoon, but we manage to get things moved when we need to. It is an honest living. We focus on the local agro needs of the Baneswarpur area. It started as a small idea and has just stayed that way. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to do right by the local land and the people we know. It is just Lakshmi and the daily chores of the agro business. Every day there is something new to learn about the crops and the soil around here.
