Barasat Anjana Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is managed by Ujjwal Biswas. We are located in the village of Mugrail, near Chandandaha. Even though our name says Barasat, our heart is really in this village area of Bagrail. We are a group of farmers who wanted to work as one unit. Ujjwal’s place serves as our main point of contact for everyone. It’s a simple setup in a rural area. We don't have a big budget for advertising, so we just rely on the quality of what we grow. Most days you will find us discussing the upcoming season or checking on the logistics of moving the harvest. It’s not an easy life, but it’s what we know. We have lots of different crops depending on the time of year. We try to help the smaller guys in the village get the same opportunities as the bigger farms. We don't use a lot of business jargon. We just talk about the things that matter, like rain and soil health. Sometimes we have meetings where everyone talks at once, but we usually get things figured out in the end. If you are looking for us, you’ll have to head out to Mugrail. It’s a bit of a trek from the main road, but it’s where the real work happens. We just take things one day at a time here.
