Vinod Tent House

We’ve been running Vinod Tent House here in Gangaram for a good while now. Our place is right at House Number 1-23, and it’s where we keep all the stuff. When there is a wedding or a small function in Kothagudem or around Warangal, we are usually the ones carrying the poles and the big sheets of cloth. It is hard work, especially when the sun is hitting hard during the summer months, but it is what we do. We have a lot of different colored drapes and chairs that have seen many seasons. Sometimes the pipes get a bit rusty or the cloth gets a little dusty from the wind, but we try to keep things organized in the shed. People usually just walk over to the house when they need something for a prayer meeting or a birthday party. We don't really do big advertisements because everyone in the village knows where we are. Usually, it is just us and a couple of boys from the neighborhood helping to load the rickshaw. We handle the local events mostly, staying within the Warangal area because moving the heavy tents too far is a real pain. It is a simple life here, just making sure the stage is sturdy enough and the shade is tied down tight so it doesn’t fly away if a storm comes through suddenly. We just stay busy with the local calendar.
