Anil Tent House

Anil Tent House is run out of H. No -C-127 in Peddanagaram. This part of Narsimhulapet in Warangal is usually quiet until someone has a wedding or a local festival coming up. That is when our yard gets busy. We have stacks of iron poles and bundles of colored fabric that have seen better days. Loading the truck is the hardest part, especially when the ground is muddy after the rain. We spend a lot of time untangling ropes and making sure the tarps do not have holes in them. It is physical work and it can be exhausting under the Warangal sun. My family helps out with the bookings, and we usually write everything down in a big ledger that sits on the table in the front room. We do not have a website or anything like that, people just know where we are or they hear about us from their neighbors. Sometimes a pole gets bent or a piece of cloth gets stained, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it up. It is not a glamorous business, but it keeps us moving. We are just local people providing what the village needs for their functions. When the season is over, we spend the time cleaning and repairing everything so it is ready for the next round of celebrations. The work is heavy, but seeing a tent finally go up in the village square makes the effort feel alright.
