General Stores

I've been running General Stores here at 11-18-762 in Vivekanada Colony for a good while now. This part of Kashibugga in Warangal is where I grew up, so setting up a shop here just made sense. It's not a big fancy supermarket or anything like that. It is just a regular place where you can find the things you need for your kitchen or your house. Most of the people who come in are neighbors I've known for years. We talk about the weather or how the kids are doing while I bag their items. Some days it is very busy, especially in the mornings when everyone realizes they are out of milk or tea leaves. Other times, it's just me sitting here waiting for the next person to walk through the door. I try to keep the shelves filled with the basic stuff. If someone asks for something I don't have, I usually try to get it for them the next time I go to the market. Life in Warangal is steady, and keeping this store going is what I do. It’s not always easy keeping track of everything, and sometimes the power goes out, but we manage. People know where we are. It’s a simple life running a shop in a colony like this, and I wouldn't really know what else to do with my time anyway.
