Ravikumar Tent House

Ravikumar Tent House is located at H. No -24-7/2 in Kishtapur, over in the Bathulapalli area of Kothagudem, Warangal. Our yard is usually full of long metal poles, bundles of heavy cloth, and stacks of plastic chairs that have seen plenty of use. When there is a wedding or a local function, we are the ones loading everything onto the back of a small truck. It is physical work, lifting those heavy rolls of fabric and making sure the bamboo stays in place when the wind picks up. Sometimes we are out late at night tearing down a setup after a party is over. The sun in Warangal can be really unforgiving, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Our storage space is a bit cramped and things are piled up high, but we know exactly where the red carpets are and which tents are for the larger crowds. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a catalog. People just come to the house and tell us how many people they are expecting, and we figure out what they need. It is a lot of sweat and dust, and our hands are always a bit rough from handling the ropes and poles. We’ve been part of a lot of celebrations in Kishtapur, even if we are just the ones working in the background to get the stage ready. We just keep doing our work regardless of the weather or the time of night.
