You can find us at number 371 in Pimpri Kalaga, over in the Ner area of Yavatmal. We’re just a bunch of local farmers who decided to join forces. Yavatmal is a tough place to farm sometimes because it gets so dry and the soil is tricky. We figured that if we formed a company, we might have a better chance of buying our supplies at a lower cost. We don't have a big staff. It's just us and a few relatives who help with the writing and the numbers. We mostly grow cotton and some grains. It’s a lot of sitting around and waiting for the rain, then working like crazy when it finally shows up. Our office doesn't have much in it besides a desk and some old chairs. We aren't trying to be some corporate giant. We just want to make sure that at the end of the season, we have enough left over to plant again next year. Sometimes we have disagreements about which seeds to buy, but we always work it out over a cup of tea. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve all known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust between us. We don’t have any big promises to make. We just do the best we can with the land we have. The company is just a way for us to stick together when things get difficult.
