Navrange Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from Umari, specifically out of Harish Vitthalrao Sawarkar’s home. We are just a group of local farmers from the Kelapur area who realized that we could get more done if we worked together. Farming around here is a tough way to make a living, and there are many days when the weather or the market prices just don't go your way. We don't have a fancy office building or a team of experts; we just have our years of experience in the fields. Most of our meetings happen sitting around at Harish’s place, talking about the best time to plant or where to buy our supplies. It is a very simple operation meant to help the people who actually do the work. We handle everything from managing the soil to figuring out how to get our crops to the market. It isn’t always organized perfectly, and we make mistakes like anyone else, but we are honest about it. We are neighbors first and business partners second. The goal is just to keep our farms running and our families fed without getting overwhelmed by the big companies. We know this land better than anyone, and we want to keep it that way.
