Taraknath Travels

We run Taraknath Travels from a spot on H G Basak Road here in Agartala. You can find us right near the Gati Courier Services office. It’s a busy street with lots of trucks and deliveries going on all day. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people get from one place to another without too much trouble. Our office is pretty basic, just some desks and a few calendars on the walls. We handle bus bookings and some other travel arrangements for locals and visitors. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet enough to have a long tea break. We don’t use those big corporate slogans. We just talk to you like a neighbor. If a trip is going to be long or the roads are bad, we’ll tell you straight. There’s no point in hiding the truth about travel. We’ve lived in Agartala our whole lives, so we know the shortcuts and the best times to leave. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but we haven’t gotten around to painting it yet. It still says Taraknath Travels clearly enough for anyone looking. We open up early in the morning because that’s when most people want to start their journeys. Just look for us near the courier place and you’ll find the door open. We are usually there until the sun goes down and the street lights come on.
