Vrm Memorial School

Our school is situated in Dwaraka Tirumala, which is a well-known place in the West Godavari district. Being in a temple town gives the whole area a certain feel, and we are located just a short distance from the main activity. The school is named in memory of VRM, and we try to keep that sense of history in how we run things. The grounds are fairly quiet, which is good for the students when they are trying to concentrate on their lessons. We have a few different buildings on the site, mostly older constructions that have been maintained over the years. There are some big trees in the yard where the kids sit during their lunch hour. The classrooms are basic, with wooden benches and plenty of chalkboard space. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy, just ceiling fans that hum throughout the day. The teachers here are very dedicated and often stay back to help students who are struggling with their math or science. We have a lot of kids from the local farming families and the town residents. Everyone knows everyone else here, so it feels more like a big family than a big institution. We don't have a lot of rules about things that don't matter; we just want the kids to show up on time and try their best. It’s a peaceful place to go to school, away from the noise of the bigger cities.
