Deepthi English Medium School

You can find Deepthi English Medium School right on Sankara Matam Street, which is quite close to the Powerpet railway station in Eluru. Being so near the station means we hear the trains going by every now and then, but we’ve all gotten used to the sound over the years. This school is a place where we teach the local kids their lessons in English, trying to get them ready for whatever comes next in their lives. The building is an older one, but it serves us well enough for our daily classes. We have rows of benches and chalkboards that see a lot of use every single day. The teachers here live nearby, so they know the families and the kids pretty well. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don't have a lot of extra frills or expensive equipment. We just have our books and our pens. During the breaks, the students go out into the small yard or stand by the gates to chat. It’s a routine that hasn’t changed much in a long time. The 534005 area of Eluru is where we call home, and we're just part of the local scenery now. Most days are about grading papers, explaining grammar, and making sure the kids stay on track with their studies. It’s a lot of talking and writing, but that’s the way we’ve always done it here. It’s just a regular school doing regular work for the people living in this part of town.
