Sri Vidhya High School

Located at 3-34 in Dharmajigudem, Sri Vidhya High School is where we spend most of our waking hours. West Godavari is a green place, and you can feel that when you walk into the school yard. We have some trees that give good shade during the afternoon break. The school building itself is simple, just concrete and paint. We spend a lot of time checking the attendance books and making sure the blackboards are clean for the next day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to open all the doors to let the breeze in. It gets hot in the classrooms, but the kids are used to it. They sit on the benches and scribble in their notebooks. We have a small library, but it is mostly just old textbooks and some stories. Most of the parents around here are farmers or work in local shops, so they expect us to keep their children busy and learning. We do not use any complicated gadgets. It is mostly just books, pens, and a lot of talking. Sometimes we have to remind the students to tuck in their shirts or stop running in the corridors. It is a small school in a small town, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. That makes it feel like one big family, even when things are a bit chaotic or disorganized at the end of the day.
