Our office and storage is at number 6 in the LBS Municipal Complex on Railway Station Road. It’s a handy location since it’s near the trains. We work with coir. If you aren't familiar, it’s the fiber from coconut husks. It’s messy, itchy stuff, but it’s what we do. Our space is often filled with the smell of natural fibers. We have rolls of matting and blocks of pith stacked up. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because the dust gets everywhere. We are a small team and we handle the logistics of moving these coir products around. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just focus on the inventory and making sure the orders are right. The municipal complex is an old building, and it has that lived-in feel. We’ve seen a lot of neighbors come and go over the years. We stay because the location works for us. Our daily routine involves checking the stock and talking to the people who need coir for their gardens or for making mats. It’s practical, everyday work. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our business comes from people who know where we are and what we have. It’s just us, the coir, and the sound of the trains nearby.
