V. C. Exports Inc.

V. C. Exports Inc. is on the second floor of 30/27 in East Patel Nagar. It’s a typical Delhi neighborhood building. You have to walk up the stairs since there’s no lift, which keeps us moving. The office is just a couple of rooms where we handle all the export work. There are always stacks of samples lying around—fabrics, small hardware, or whatever we’re dealing with that month. It’s not a place for showing off. It’s more about the desks, the computers, and the landline that never stops ringing. We spend most of the day on the phone or sending emails to people in different time zones. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. East Patel Nagar is a lively place with plenty of food stalls nearby, so we usually head out for a quick bite at lunch. We’ve been in this same spot for quite a few years now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with shipments to worry about it. It’s just a regular office where we do our work and go home. We know the other tenants in the building, and it’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We don't have a big corporate team, just a small group of us keeping the business running and the orders moving.
