Sarthak Handicrafts

Sarthak Handicrafts is tucked away at C-4/C, 271 in Janakpuri. If you’ve spent any time in this part of town, you know it’s a mix of homes and small shops. Our place is basically a workshop and storage space crammed into one. There are boxes stacked nearly to the ceiling in some corners. Most of the day is spent checking over the items we get in. Since they are handicrafts, they aren't all exactly the same, which keeps things interesting but also means we have to spend a lot of time looking at details. It can get a bit dusty with all the packing materials and wood or fabric lying around. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just find one of us wrapped up in bubble wrap or tape. We try to keep things organized, but when a big order comes in, the whole floor becomes a bit of a mess for a few days. Janakpuri is a good place for us because it feels like a real community. We know the guy who delivers the mail and the people at the tea stall nearby. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the things we send out are what people expect. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the phone lines act up, but we manage.
