We are up on the sixth floor of the Ansal Majestic Tower. It’s in the Pvr Complex in Vikas Puri, so there’s always people moving around outside. The elevator in this building is a bit slow, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too many files. The office, 602-A, is where we handle all the import and export stuff. It’s not a huge space, but it fits our desks and the computer. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people about shipping dates and customs forms. Vikas Puri is a busy area, so finding parking can be a real headache in the mornings. Sometimes the noise from the market below drifts up here. We’ve got stacks of folders everywhere. My assistant, Rahul, usually makes the tea around eleven. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers since most of our work is done through emails and calls. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open when the weather is nice. We’ve been in this building for several years now. You get used to the rhythm of the place. It’s just a typical office where we try to keep track of everything going out and coming in. Nothing too complicated, just a lot of checking and re-checking numbers to make sure things get where they need to go.
