Metalwood Handicrafts International

Our workshop, Metalwood Handicrafts International, is located at 17/3 in Subhash Nagar. It’s a busy place where we combine metal and wood to make different items. If you walked in right now, you’d probably see a lot of sawdust on the floor and hear the sound of someone grinding metal in the back. We don't have a fancy storefront with bright lights. It’s just a place where we work on crafts all day. Sometimes we’re working on a large wooden table, and other times it’s small metal decorative pieces. We have a few guys who are really good with their hands and have been doing this for a long time. Subhash Nagar is a crowded area, so space is a bit tight, but we make it work. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just work until the job is done. The smell of cut wood is actually quite nice, though the metal sparks can be a bit much. We sell things to people who appreciate stuff that isn't just made by a machine in a big factory. Every piece has its own little flaws, which is just part of how things turn out when you make them by hand. We’re just local people making things out of wood and metal because that’s what we know how to do. It’s a bit messy, but it’s our life and it works for us. We just keep creating one piece at a time.
