Shivam Steel

Shivam Steel is sitting over at P 39 in Chanakya Puri Place. It is part of the Uttam Nagar area which stays crowded almost all the time. Our shop isn't hard to find once you get into the neighborhood. We handle various steel items and supplies for local projects. The space is a bit tight because of all the stock we keep on the racks. We spend most of the morning moving things around to make room for new arrivals. It gets pretty loud when the heavy trucks come to drop off the bars and sheets. The guys who work here are mostly from around this part of town. We take our tea breaks together when the rush dies down a bit. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for people to park, so things get a bit chaotic out front. We have been here long enough that we know most of the people on this street. It is a busy life in Uttam Nagar and we are just another part of it. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust from the metal, no matter how much we sweep. We just keep the doors open and get through the list of tasks for the day. There isn't much to the office side of things, just a small corner for the ledger. It is a simple operation where everyone knows their job and we just try to stay on top of the orders coming in.
