Sharda Handicraft (India)

Our shop, Sharda Handicraft (India), is tucked away at A-83A in Vikas Naga, which is part of the Uttam Nagar area. It is a local place where we spend our time making various handcrafted items. We have been here for a while and the neighbors know us well. The workspace is filled with tools and raw materials because everything we do is by hand. It can get a bit messy with scraps on the floor but that is just part of the process of creating things. Uttam Nagar is a crowded part of town so there is always something going on outside our door. We mostly just focus on the work we have in front of us. It is quiet inside compared to the street. People sometimes stop by to see what we are working on. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is just a regular building where we try to do a good job on every piece. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought but we stay until it is finished. A-83A is where we keep all our supplies and where the actual making happens. It is a simple life of working with your hands. We like the rhythm of it. If you are walking through Vikas Naga you might miss us if you aren't looking closely. We are just a small group of people who enjoy making handicrafts and staying busy at our work benches.
