You can find us at C-79 in Sainik Nagar. We are right near the Nawada Metro Station, which makes it easy to explain where we are to people coming from Najafgarh Road or Uttam Nagar. Being close to the metro is pretty handy for the guys who work here. Rk Steel Engineering Works is basically a workshop where we deal with all sorts of steel projects. There’s always the smell of cut metal and a lot of sparks flying around. We have some heavy machines for bending and cutting, so it gets pretty loud. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but you can’t really keep a steel shop spotless. We take on all kinds of jobs, some big and some just small repairs people bring in. We don't have a sales team or anything like that. Usually, it's just one of us putting down the tools to talk to whoever walks in the gate. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the neighbors know us. The work is hard on the hands, but there’s a good feeling when you finish a piece and it looks right. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of orders. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but we just wait it out. It’s just how it is working in this part of town. We like it here despite the noise.
