Punjab Steel Works

We are over here at B-38 in Mayapuri Industrial Area, right in Phase-I. It is usually pretty loud around the shop because of the machines running all day. Punjab Steel Works has been at this spot for a good while now. Most mornings start with moving heavy steel pieces around and checking what needs to be cut or joined. The traffic in Mayapuri can get pretty bad around lunch, so we try to get most of the loading done early. It is not fancy here. There is dust and the smell of cut metal everywhere. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Sometimes the tea stall down the lane is the highlight of the afternoon. Our space isn't huge but we make it work. Most of the guys here have been working with steel for years and they know how the metal behaves. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. We just look at what needs doing and get to it. You can find us easily if you know where Phase-I is. It's a busy part of the city and there is always something going on next door or across the street. We keep the doors open mostly to let some air in while we are welding or grinding. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation where we handle whatever steel jobs come through the gate.
