Pioneer Plastic Moulders

Pioneer Plastic Moulders is over at 7/16 in the Kirti Nagar Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how the lanes are narrow and always packed with tempos and rickshaws. Our place is tucked in among a lot of other small factories. When the molding machines are running, there is this distinct smell of warm plastic that hangs in the air. It’s not a bad smell, just what we live with every day. The floor is usually covered in little plastic pellets if we haven't swept up in the last hour. We have these large cooling fans that blow air around, but it still gets pretty stuffy in the peak of summer. The building itself is an older one, made of brick and concrete with small windows high up. We use the ground floor for the main production and the mezzanine for storing the finished stuff in sacks. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the machines act when they get a bit moody. We don't have a formal break room, so we just sit on the crates or stools when we eat our lunch. It's a gritty, hard-working environment without any polish. The street outside is always busy with people moving goods back and forth. We just keep our heads down and get the orders through. It’s nothing special to look at, just a functional space.
