Located at A-38/1 in Phase-I of the Maya Puri Industrial Area, our place is right in the middle of all the noise. If you know Delhi, you know Maya Puri is a place where metal and machines are everywhere. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well. Inside, it’s all about the machines we build and fix. There’s a specific smell of oil and cold steel that hits you as soon as you walk in. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, it’s one of us wiping our hands on a rag before picking up the line. The workspace is cluttered with parts and half-finished projects, which is just the way we like it because it means we are busy. Sometimes the narrow streets outside get blocked by delivery trucks, making it a bit of a struggle to get things in and out, but we’ve gotten used to the chaos of the area. Our workers come from the nearby colonies, and they’ve got years of experience under their belts. We don’t do things in a fancy way at Hariss Machines, we just focus on the iron and the nuts and bolts. It’s a practical life, working with your hands and making sure the gears turn like they are supposed to before we lock up for the night.
